The Malden High Field Hockey program has a proud history. The Tornados have won 9 GBL Championships the last coming in 2004. The Tornados have been to the tournament 2 of the last 4 years and were a fixture during the late 80's and early 90's.

Malden has had numerous All-Scholastics the last coming in 2004 (Jessica DiNisco). Brenda Canning had her number 17 retired in 1988. Her resume includes Herald and Globe All-Scholastic honors and a four-year career at UNH.

Tornado Field Hockey players have also made the college ranks. Jessica DiNisco (Salem State) Amy Lewis (Regis) Olivia Choate (Smith) Karen Pang (Bryn Mare) Holly Plowman (Framingham St.) Siv Tang (Oberlin College) Rachel Vasquez (Bridgewater St.) Rebecca Knight () Tina Froio (Northeastern) to name a few.

Malden has been led by some very successful coaches Candice Dunlap, Carol O'Brien, Joanne Lambert, Tina Froio, and current coach Mike Lightbody.

Malden Field Hockey is about tradition, singing the school song as we pull into the opposing field, pasta parties, and senior night to name a few.
